Your Favorite Convertible Sweater for Fall

Who doesn’t have a sweater that you gravitate to for fall? There is something about an oversized and chunky sweater that helps you officially welcome fall to your wardrobe.  The one featured in this #ootd post is an oversized convertible sweater that has a hint of cashmere that can be worn 4 ways from Victoria’s Secret.  I’ve had my eye on this sweater for about a year and decided to go ahead and grab one because last fall and winter I practically lived in my oversized and chunky sweaters and with this one being convertible, well, let’s just say you will see this sweater often.

How to Wear it?

When wearing oversized sweaters it’s important to still be sure that you are not allowing the sweater to overpower your natural shape.  Just because it is oversized does not mean that the sweater should ‘swallow’ you up! In order to prevent this from happening, be sure to get your size (should be one to two sizes larger than what you normally would wear) and one that skims over your shape effortlessly.  This will allow your natural curves to shape the sweater so that you do not get lost in the fabric.  Pair your oversized sweater with leggings or skinny jeans to keep your outfit balanced and figure-flattering like I did below.

I rounded out my outfit with my favorite D&G shades and JustFab chunky heeled booties to keep my overall look clean and simple.

Do you have a go-to sweater for fall? How do you plan to wear it?

  1. Nice post, Venus. I loooove the sweater on you! Of course adding the leather jeggings and boots add a really cool edgy look. To your point, the sweater is loose but not overpowering. I have to incorporate that into my Fall wardrobe. I also like pairing it with skinny jeans. Keep up the wonderful posts!
p.s. I just bought a floral blouse this weekend and looove it! I was inspired by one of your previous posts : )
p.p.p. Thanks for the lovely quote.
