Wide leg pants are and have been a thing. These type of pants are a trendy piece, but has remained a classic at the same time. They are what I like to call trendy-classic and this piece is one that is flattering for just about every shape and will be a staple in your wardrobe. If you don’t own a pair, I promise that after this post you will order or go out and buy a pair. It’s what I like to call a #PinkklipstickGuarantee.
Why I like them?
Wide leg pants are some of my favorite pair of pants because of how versatile and flattering they are to my shape. They make me look super tall and slim while also nipping in my waist a bit to give me an hourglass look. I also love how they can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the fabric and texture you get them in and how you style them.
Wear it unapologetically
You all have seen all of these pieces before. I shopped my closet for this entire look and it has a completely different feel than when I first styled them. My inspiration piece here was the striped top. Having an inspiration piece for your outfit is a great way to begin to style your look and figure out what pieces you want to add to it to build onto the look.
I decided to play off of the buttons on the shoulders with gold accessories and add some boldness to the overall look by wearing my wide legged pants and wide belt. The lines that this combo creates plays well with the narrow stripes juxtaposing the wide belt and the wide-legged pants. For extra finessing I popped on a bold red lip gloss, Brahmin bag and floppy felt hat.
