Wear your Little Black Jumpsuit (LBJ) like a Boss

We’ve all been told the importance of having a LBD (little black dress) in our wardrobe.  Particularly, one that fits you to a ‘T’ and presents ‘zero fuss’ when you have to look pulled together and polished in minutes.  Well, if you are like me, of course you have one, but you’d prefer to wear slacks, jeans, or better yet, a jumpsuit instead, in the fall and winter.  I love dresses and rock them to the max when I do wear them, but I have a strong preference for pants, especially in the cooler seasons.

So, not surprisingly, I am here for the jumpsuit trend and have replaced my LBD with a LBJ (little black jumpsuit) that has so much versatility, it’s kinda ridiculous.  I can dress it up or down.  I can make it a classic, edgy, or sexy depending on how I wear it and what I pair with it.  You have seen this jumpsuit throughout my social media profiles, but never featured in an OOTD post here, which is quite odd considering that I have certainly gotten some good wear out of it at several events around town.

How to Wear it

The reason why you need a LBJ in your wardrobe is because it is just like your LBD: versatile, easy to style in minutes, comfortable, and you look AMAZING in it.  I’ve paired the one below with a blazer, worn it solo, with heels, with flats, accessorized to the max or not, and now, I’ve paired it with my leather jacket.  As you can see, there is really no limit to how you can rock your LBJ.  The only rule is that you are comfortable in it and look great in it anytime you wear it.

Check out how I styled mine below!

What I Wore: Leather Jacket: Wilson’s Leather, Jumpsuit: c/o Versona, Shoes: JustFab, Sunglasses: Target

  1. Awesome post, Venus! I loooove the edgy and urban look. I must admit I do not have a jumpsuit but will put that on my wish list lol The styling is quite creative, as well. Keep up the sensational posts and Happy Thanksgiving!
