Vintage Pink

Before moving, I went to a great vintage shop called Rachel’s Place on Pine Street near Martin Luther King BLVD in Detroit.  My friend told me about it and we decided to check it out one weekend together.  I loved it…she did too!

I picked up a vintage dress that I am dying to “modernize”! I want to take the sleeves completely off and hem the front of the dress to make it “high-low”.  For now, take a look at the pictures of the dress in its original state with the sleeves rolled up to make it wearable for the hot weather we had.  Enjoy!

  1. The dress looks gorgeous on you and I love that swing chair! I think removing the sleeves and adjusting the hem would definitely work – best of luck with it!

    1. Thanks!!!

  2. Beautiful look, Venus! As a native Detroiter, it’s nice to see you model something vintage that was picked up in the Motor City. 🙂

    1. Thanks! I know right! I can’t wait to go back to this shop! Such a jewel in the city!

OMG…I’m so thrilled you finally decided to wear the dress! I remember when we went shopping for it, and it looks as GORGEOUS now as it did then in the fitting room. Aren’t you glad I dragged you all the way out there? You definitely are doing the dress justice. 🙂

    1. LOL! Yes I am! I sooo wanna go back! Thanks girl!
