Recently, I’ve noticed this increasing interest in drinking tea, from dietary teas that claim certain health benefits ranging from promoting weight loss or healthy skin to our tea staples, like green tea, which have a multitude of health benefits. I’ve been wanting to get more into teas, but did not necessarily want to switch my beloved daily cup (or two) of coffee out for tea. So when I heard about Sweet Leaf Tea, in particular the green tea variety, I wondered if this would be a good way to incorporate drinking tea to get the health benefits, but in a more refreshing and non-competing way with my coffee (yes, I am addicted to coffee…more on that later).
Sweet Leaf Teas are all natural and organic and ready-to-drink. They come in a variety of flavors, but my favorite is the Mint & Honey flavored green tea. Now, there is a lot of back and forth of whether you are able to reap the same benefits of drinking hot tea from drinking cold ready-to-go teas. The issue with some ready-to-go teas is that they are not always made with “real tea”, but with powders and etc that obviously do not carry the same benefits of drinking brewed tea. However, Sweet Leaf Tea uses all natural ingredients that ensure that you are getting the antioxidants that you want when drinking tea, which is cool to have in a ready-to-go drink.
So, what is the big deal about drinking tea? What benefits do you get from drinking it, especially as it relates to beauty? Let’s name a few…
- Promotes clear skin with its antimicrobial properties and antioxidants
- Stimulate hair growth and soften the hair with its polyphenols, Vitamin E and Vitamin C
- Provides hydration for glowing and healthy skin
- Helps to protect the skin against UV damage
- Burns belly fat
Knowing that I can get these benefits in a ready-to-go tea without having to trade in my coffee makes me love the idea of Sweet Leaf Tea! Are you all drinking more tea? Have you noticed any benefits?
