With spring in full swing means that we can start peeling off and playing with our fall and winter layers. Trench coats are perfect for transitioning from cooler to warmer weather and can be incorporated as your outfit stand out piece as well. Traditionally, we use trench coats as our essential layering piece and outfit topper, but this spring why not make it your statement piece? With the modern designs of the trench coat currently (no more Inspector Gadget), it is easy to work them into your wardrobe. Keep in mind, these should be made of more casual and flexible material so that it is structured without looking coat-ish.
The trench that I am styling below is my favorite go-to piece from Old Navy. It is cotton and moves with me making it very comfortable. I paired it with leather pants from H&M, hat from Target, Sam & Libby for Target spiked pumps, and sealed the deal with a studded hobo bag I scored from Goodwill and D&G shades. The only new item that I added into my wardrobe to complete this outfit is the hobo bag from Goodwill that I scored for $4. This folks is repurposing your wardrobe at its finest! Jewels are c/o Vera Bradley, My Arm Charms, and Versona.
How will you revive your trench this spring? I think I will wear mine as a dress next!
