Listen. I am so ready for the last quarter of this year – for a number of reasons, with one of them being transitioning my wardrobe for fall. I am so ready for chunky sweaters, soft knits, leather, and layers! In fact, I‘ve already started prepping my closet. No, I haven’t removed my summer pieces just yet, I mean we are still hitting temps in the 90s here, but I have started to pick up some key pieces that will help me transition into the fall and beyond.
Knits are the perfect transitional fabric because they are light and can be layered under or over other items as temperatures begin to drop. Or, as I did below, they can be worn alone to keep you cool in warmer weather.
Wear it Unapologetically
The knit sweater below will definitely be getting some wear this season and beyond. It is super soft and I love the color. It has slits at the sides, which makes it perfect for tucking into your bottoms to create shape, if desired.
I decided to pair my knit with shorts to keep me cool and gladiator sandals. I wanted to wear my riding boots, but decided not to ONLY because I won’t be able to wear my gladiators too much more beyond today.
