Tailored Up for Spring

There is nothing quite like a nice fitting blazer in my book.  I love a good blazer and can honestly live in one if life allowed.  Who am I kidding, on average, I wear a blazer about 85% of the time during the week.  While I do gravitate toward blazers as my outfit staple, I do not own a ton. I have added my staple colors and fits to my blazer collection and most recently have branched out into more eccentric and funky varieties.

As you all know, I have recently fell back in love with thrifting.  On my last trip, I scored so many goodies that I am slowly debuting and styling for you all.  One of those items is the light weight blazer featured in this post.  It has a diamond pattern with various shades of blue.  I love this blazer not only because it cost me $4, but because it is so versatile (you all know this is major for me).  I have worn this blazer several times in several different ways.  Although it has a funky pattern on it, it is subtle enough to be dressed up or dressed down.

I paired my thrifted blazer with my go to Express high-waisted skinny jeans, Lands End white button up and Chinese Laundry sandals.  To add a bit of detail I wore a Kendra Scott necklace (c/o Kendra Scott), and H&M and JustFab earrings.  I sometimes like to wear two different types of earrings as I’ve done below to keep things interesting.

What closet staple do you own that is in constant rotation in your wardrobe?

  1. Wonderful post, Venus! I am loving the belt and shoes. The outfit looks excellent and very menswear inspired. I have to jump on the white button down shirt bandwagon : ) Keep up the excellent posts and Happy Thrifting!
