I’ve been digging bell sleeves for the last couple of seasons. They add the right amount of extra to any outfit and with the right size, are not too distracting. Now, they can totally be super extra and borderline obnoxious if they are really big, but the smaller and moderate bell sleeves are perfect. The navy bell sleeved dress below has the right amount of everything to make it perfect to transition into spring with.
What makes this dress great is the color. Navy is certainly a ‘do’ for spring and your wardrobe needs at least a couple of navy numbers in it. Pantone announced a variation of navy called Lapis Blue as the color of 2017 for spring and I am here for it.
Wear it Unapologetically
I decided to pair the dress below with black accessories with a pop of color on my lips. However, the great thing about navy is that just about any bright color would look great with it as it can serve as a neutral. I would definitely add yellow, orange, red, or even purple accessories with this navy dress as well to lighten up the look a bit. However, I wanted to keep the look a bit more mellow while still being dramatic so I added black accessories and popped on a bold lip to break up the color palette a bit.
This dress could certainly work for the office, day meetings, or even brunch depending on the occasion. To make this dress a bit more casual I’d add flats or flat sandals instead of heels to bring it down a bit. This dress can definitely serve multiple purposes. And y’all know how I feel about that…
