Spring jumpsuits and self-awareness just seemed like the best way to kick off this week (we’re a little late, but #humpday counts as a start too, right?). One because I’m LITERALLY obsessed with jumpsuits (I just hate when I have to go to the bathroom for obvious reasons) and two because I think self-awareness is a good quality to have when you add up what makes you who you are. I’m self-aware to a fault. Can someone say, anxiety? When kept on track though, self-awareness can help you be a more sympathetic and empathetic person. It can help you have a unique understanding and perspective when working with and relating to people.
At the core though, it provides that silver bullet affect when you talk about a person that just knows how to represent and influence people. When you know how you show up in a situation, you’re more in control of how you react and interact with others. Now, of course, being self-aware is not flawless. As I mentioned, it’s been a burden to me in a number of ways, but overall, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’ve seen people who are not self-aware or who just don’t care how they show up and how that’s ruined relationships and have impacted interactions.
What say you about self-awareness? Would you consider yourself to be self-aware?
Style-moment: Y’all already know how I feel about jumpsuits. They are so convenient and versatile no matter the season, but there’s something about a dope jumpsuit during the spring and summer. I scored this jumpsuit for $20 at TjMaxx. Yes, $20. It’s light and the cut of it is so flattering. Throw on a jacket, blazer, or cardigan for different looks and add accessories to inject your personal style for the overall look. A jumpsuit is definitely a must have addition to your wardrobe.
