If you all have been following me, even before pinkklipstick.com really existed and I only did youtube, you know I have a slight obsession with trying new beauty products, especially makeup and skincare items. When I noticed that I was buying makeup/skincare products weekly I put myself on a “beauty/skincare product” diet! I’ve done fairly well over the last couple of years of managing my obsession while still allowing myself the permission to try beauty/skincare products that I am truly interested in and not just because they are new.
So, as I was perusing my InStyle magazine, I saw an ad for the new L’Oreal Infallible Smokissime from their amazing Infallible line of makeup products. Now back in the day, I was the queen of a solid smoky eye, so when I saw this little handy tool, I knew I had to give it a try! It is slightly bigger than your standard eyeliner pen with a foam tip applicator that dispenses the product by using the cap to push the foam applicator into the packaging before applying it to your eyes.
Let me say, that beyond being obsessed and intrigued by the whole concept of how the product is housed in the pen and how it dispenses, the product is pretty amazing. The powder formula is silky in texture, making it easy to blend to create a clean and precise smoky eye in no time. The applicator actually helps to prevent fall out that you typically experience with eyeshadows, in addition to helping with applying the makeup exactly where you want.
Overall, I think this is another drugstore essential to add to your makeup kits for a defined and pretty smoky eye that you create in no time! Check out my smoky eye look below using the Taupe color (it also comes in Black, Brown, and Purple). To finish things up I used my Fit Me Pressed Powder in my crease in addition to my L’Oreal Manga mascara, and NYX eyeliner. I wanted to keep my product use to a minimum to actually let Smokissime shine so that you can see it in it’s full glory with minimal enhancements. There are a couple of things I would do to intensify this look a bit, but certainly this product could work as a standalone.
