I’m always up for trying new skin and body care products – especially when the product is free of sulfates, phthalates, and parabens! Although, I’m not vegan (I might venture over into the vegetarian/pescatarian world soon), I’ve always associated vegan friendly products with higher quality ingredients that are natural and gentle. Oh. And when you don’t participate in animal testing…major bonus! So, naturally, when I was tapped to try out Tu’el products I was super intrigued just by the initial research I did on them. I have several Tu’el products that I will be trying over the next couple of weeks and will let you all know the pros and cons of each. So, let’s go right ahead and jump into the first product: Tu’el Body Polish Exfoliation Kit that includes the Green Clean Body Wash and Exfoliation Gloves.
What’s their claim to fame?
The body wash claims to soften and smooth skin with the conditioning and cleansing ingredients in the body wash when used with the exfoliation gloves. The body wash is formulated with glycolic that gently exfoliates and helps prevent bumps and ingrown hairs along with toning, tightening and brightening skin – perfect for summer, right? It also has Pine essential oil that is known for healing, hydrating, energizing and being an antibacterial to skin. Another key ingredient in this body wash is bladderwrack which firms, balances, and detoxifies the skin along with being an antioxidant, and is vitamin and mineral rich.
How did it perform?
Pretty good, overall. I love the smell of this body wash! It’s refreshing and definitely perks up your senses. The texture feels like a cleansing oil and there is minimal lather, which I have to get used to. The exfoliating gloves have a rough texture that feels amazing on your skin and are machine washable. After cleansing with the body wash and exfoliating gloves, I moisturized my skin with baby oil and noticed that my skin felt moisturized and soft.
Anything that you did not like?
I have to get use to the lack of lather. I love lathering up in the shower. My go to body wash is the Dove Foaming Body Wash – so obviously, that’s suds and lather galore! Outside of that I enjoyed the showering experience from Tu’el and would recommend it because of the ingredients and that they lived up to their claims so far.
Ok, so give me the deets on where I can purchase this and get more info.
