Review: Pixi By Petra Nourishing Cleansing Balm

Finding gentle and beneficial ways to remove my makeup at the end of the day has been my ‘thing’ as of yet.  As I work on perfecting my routine, I find that my skin really likes when I remove my makeup with oil before using my Boscia Charcoal cleanser.  Using an oil of some sort has added moisture to my skin to keep it hydrated and glowing.

So, what is Pixi By Petra Nourishing Cleansing Balm?

Pixi by Petra Nourishing Cleansing Balm is kind of dope.  No, really.  It is totally legit.  It comes in a pretty large jar (3.04 oz) as a solid, or a balm. It primarily has almond oil and Cocoa butter in it with other nutrients like shea butter rounding the balm out.

Sounds good! How do I use it?

Like its cousins, cleansing oils, cleansing balms, and this one in particular, you use on dry skin to remove dirt, makeup, and impurities by rubbing it into your skin  using circular movements.  Once you have covered your whole face, you want to take a soft and damp wash cloth to remove the oil from your face.  After the balm is removed, I like to follow up with my favorite facial cleanser and then moisturize as I normally would.

So you like it? You’d recommend it? Why?

Yes, I do! I actually love it! I would definitely recommend this product as a great edition to your skin care regimen,  and/or especially for travel.  Cleansing oils can be a mess to travel with, but this balm would be perfect since it stores as a solid.

This product did a great job at removing my makeup and it left my skin so hydrated after I used it.

I’m interested in it.  How much did it cost and where did you get it?

The Pixi by Petra Cleansing Balm will cost you $20 and you can get it from Target or on Pixi’s website. Have you tried it? If so, what do you think about it?
