Yesterday I gave you all a full recap of the Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week 2014 (CFW). Today, I want to start off by getting down to the nitty-gritty, aka, “the good stuff”. As you all know, I love supporting up and comers and local talent. I resonate with their passion and hunger to follow their dreams and to make their dreams their reality. Therefore, it should be of no surprise that one of my favorite features at CFW was the Emerging Designer Contest. The finale showed off 4 amazing designers who had been competing all week for this one night to win the overall competition. The finale was it for these emerging designers and boy did they BRING IT. First up in my recap will be designer Deanna Ansara.
Deanna Ansara is a 24 year old New Yorker and designer of her label, Vincetta. Her line is a ready-to-wear label for women. She describes her label as being modern, but also timeless. During the show, I was able to see that her aesthetic gave off a combination of a masculine, androgynous, and modern vibe, but very well could transition over the decades making it also classic. My favorite were her coats and long exaggerated cardigans; I could totally see myself rocking her line!!
Check out the shots below as her line hit the runway!
