Finding the perfect foundation to help smooth and balance your complexion is not necessarily the most easy task. There is a lot of trial and error and trying of different brands and shades. Once you find that brand and shade you typically stay with that as your go to while sometimes venturing out to try some of the new products that come out. Mine has always been Revlon’s Colorstay, I have ventured out and have found some pretty decent ones out there, but this one has been my staple and is always my go to. So when I attended a Tameka Raymond’s Style Theory Tour and saw a makeup demonstration featuring Ashunta Sheriff using her Perfect Blend foundation, I was all about trying it to see how it would compare to my all time fave and staple. Ashunta is a celebrity makeup artist who has beat the faces of some of our favorites including Alicia Keys and Tariji P. Henson. In fact, she used perfect blend on Alicia Keys for years before the product went into production for sale.
Perfect Blend is a double stick foundation that has a light and dark shade, one that can be used as a highlight/concealer and the other side as the actual color that matches your skin. The cool thing about this dual foundation stick is that you can also blend the two colors to get the perfect color match for your skin tone, hence the name, perfect blend. The texture of the foundation is super creamy and very blend-able; it almost feels like velvet or silk. I would say that the coverage is buildable and can be light to full coverage depending on how much you put on. The foundation comes with a dual ended brush, one side is smaller than the other with both ends having dense bristles that compliments the application of the foundation perfectly. However, using the warmth from your fingers to blend out the product is magic!
Overall, I really like this foundation. I love how sheer or full coverage it can be and the fact that you get two different shades in one stick. You’ll notice from the pictures below that, it helped my skin look very natural without looking cakey or heavy. I can definitely see this being an everyday foundation for me as well as one of my signature going out foundation. To get your hands on Perfect Blend, go to here! The foundation dual stick and dual brush comes in a package at $50…great deal!
