My favorite place to shop believe it or not is my closet—especially now that I have a walk in closet. I love shopping my closet because it allows me to challenge my creativity in pairing pieces together for a new look. In order to shop your closet effectively, you have to make sure you have a solid foundation with basic and classic pieces. Once you have that nailed down, you can finesse your look by adding trendier pieces. You have seen all of the pieces in this #OOTD post before. I have finally gotten my wardrobe to a place that I rarely have to shop in order to create different looks for special occasions or everyday attire.
Wear it Unapologetically
The Lavish Alice top below has made an appearance on the blog before—it was featured in the Pinkklipstick Spring Lookbook paired with a matching skirt. I decided to pull it out again to pair it with other items that you’ve seen here before to show the different looks that can be created by shopping my closet. The culottes are a piece that I would consider a trendy classic because they are trendy now, but we’ve seen them before. I added my favorite block heel gladiator sandals and faux snakeskin handbag for additional texture. I’ve actually worn these culottes on several occasions with different tops to give them a different feel.
