Blazers are one of my favorite garments in my wardrobe. You can dress them up or you can dress them down. Over the last couple of seasons, blazer dresses have been a great way to incorporate blazers in a super feminine, yet still structured way.
They can come in a lot of colors, but there is something about a crispy white one that does something for me. In the fall and winter, you can still rock a blazer dress with over the knee boots and in the spring and summer you can throw on a set sandal and let your toes breath a bit. These dresses are a bit on the trendy side, but I think they will be around for a bit. And even if they turn into a big DON’T next season, you can still rock the look as an oversized blazer. Talk about versatility and longevity. We love it!
Wear it Unapologetically
I decided to pair my blazer dress with animal print sandals and a bold tote to break up the white a bit. I kept my accessories to a minimum because I really wanted to show how standout this piece was on it’s own. This outfit would be perfect for a daytime or nighttime event (just switch out the bag for a clutch). As I mentioned above, you could also wear this dress as a traditional oversized blazer layered over jeans or slacks. You could decide to wear a shirt underneath if you want to leave the blazer open, or you can close the blazer and opt for no shirt. Don’t worry, that variation may be coming to Pinkklipstick soon!
