As we settle into the middle of winter for most of us, we should more or less have our winter wardrobe with the exception of some add-on pieces, pretty solid. Shopping now should include items that will transition you well into spring and even into the beginning of summer. Light weight knits are the perfect transitional piece to continue to add to your wardrobe as you prepare for spring. While I prefer neutral colors to start with, play with color and texture to add your personality to your knits.
Wear it unapologetically
One of the great things about light weight knits is that they can be easily layered or worn alone. This is the major reason why they make the perfect transitional piece in your wardrobe. I decided to wear my BLANK Wardrobe knit alone with monochromatic grays with the exception of my white booties. You’ve seen me wear this knit layered over a turtle neck before, however, I can see it work in so many ways. My favorite thing about this knit is that it’s light-weight, but still cozy. I love the cut-out bottom hem and the sleeves for added drama.
Style Tip – Keep this one in your back pocket: I can’t wait to wear this knit with denim distressed shorts or even a casual pencil skirt and sneakers. To dress this knit up a bit, pair it with wide-leg slacks and added a button up. Finish up your look with a glitzy necklace and bracelet and a clutch.
