A surprising classic and wardrobe staple for all fashionistas to have in their wardrobe is a white t-shirt. I favor men’s Hane’s white tees – yes the five in the pack bad boys, but you can certainly be flexible here if you have a preference. The bottom line is for the t-shirt to be white and slightly oversized.
Wear it Unapologetically
As I mentioned in my series post a couple of years ago, what makes them an essential, especially for summer, is that you can style them alone or use them as a layering piece. They truly are versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down. Some of the other ways that I would play with a white t-shirt is to modify it a bit. Go ahead and take the scissors out and make it a crop top, for instance, or cut off the collar to make it an off the shoulder t-shirt. Oh the many ways you can style this essential piece!
