First Impressions: Deity America Natural Hair Products

I’ve set somewhat of a goal for myself over the next couple of months to get my hair in tip top shape so that I can grow my hair down to the small of my back. Oh and yeah, I want some thickness in there, too. I’m not far from my goal in terms of length, in this video of showing y’all how I do my top knots I show you where I am in terms of length – I’m just past BSL (bra strap length). As far as thickness goes, I haven’t quite met that goal and will have a little tweaking of my regimen to get there.

In my quest to grow out my hair, I’m a sucker for trying different hair products to see how my hair responds. So far, my hair loves Carol’s Daughter, but that hasn’t stopped me from wanting to try other products. Recently, I was introduced to Deity of Hair products. Honestly, I’d never heard of them before, but was intrigued after reading some reviews and their claims. Their products are herbal and natural with a focus on growing hair and stopping hair loss. They have a whole line of shampoos, deep conditioners, conditioners, moisturizers and oils to help you accomplish hair growth.

Ok, so, you tried it? What do you think so far?

So, I tried the Plant Shampoo for Hair Loss, The Plant Conditioner for Hair Loss and the Repairing Essence Daily Moisturizing Lotion.  The thing that stood out the most to me was the smell.  It has a very herbal scent to it.  It reminds me of a bohemian type of shop that sells oils, soaps, and herbs.  It’s not a bad scent – it actually makes me nostalgic.  However, if that’s not a scent that creates nostalgia, etc,  once you rinse the product out, the smell goes away.  The Repairing Essence Daily Moisturizing Lotion doesn’t have the same smell as the shampoo and conditioner – it smells like a typical everyday moisturizer.

Once I started using the shampoo and conditioner, I notice that they did not have a ton of suds, but the shampoo gave off enough to make me feel good.  The shampoo seems to cleanse pretty good without stripping my hair of its natural oils and the conditioner left my hair feeling hydrated – not dry nor greasy.  The Daily Moisturizer seems to be pretty good – my hair seemed to respond well to it, but it’s a bit too early to tell.  In a follow up post or video, I’ll let y’all know for sure.

What’s Your Final Verdict?

I don’t have one just yet.  You all know the deal.  I like to try these things for at least a month and really a couple of months before I say if I really liked them or not.  So far, I enjoy the Deity America products that I’ve tried and have noticed some differences, but want to give my hair some time to fully become familiar and react to the products.  I’ll do a follow up post (most likely a vide0) giving you all my final verdict of the products, along with trying some other Deity America products that you see pictured here.  I’m SUPER excited to try the Deep Penetrating Conditioner since when I do research on these products, it’s the one that everyone talks about.  I’ll also try out the Camellia Silk Serum Shine, the Nourishing and Repairing Scalp Serum and the Tibet Tonic Health Growth Restorer.  The serum and the restorer may take a little longer to give a full review since I’d like to see if it makes a difference in my hair growth over time.  Either way, I’ll keep you all posted here!

Have you all tried any of the Deity America products? If so, what were your thoughts? What products have you tried? Which one was your favorite?
