February Beauty Faves!

Now that we are wrapping up the first full week of March and those of us in the South got a taste of spring weather (woo hoo!), let’s close out February officially by looking at some of my favorite beauty products! For the month of February, I really wanted to focus on drugstore products, namely e.l.f. products because I was convinced that there had to be some cheap alternatives to some of our favorite beauty brands.  Now, I love a good splurge every now and then, but I also love getting more for my buck! If I can get 3 lippies for the cost of 1 and they are comparable in quality, then why not?!

Check out some of my favorites below and why I think they are the ‘bees knees’ (lame, I know! What does that mean anyway?).

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow. – Helen Keller

covergirl lip lava
You guys know that I love a good lippie, and this Covergirl Lip Lava gloss in ‘mauva lava’ is my ultimate fave from the whole line! It is super pigmented and feels amazing on my lips. Also, it has a great lasting power for a gloss!

covergirl ready set gorgeous
Now, y’all know I love my Revlon Colorstay foundation, but this Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous has become my everyday favorite. It is light weight and perfect for evening out your complexion in your daily routine. The consistency and the way that it feels on my face reminds me of a BB creme, but offers more coverage.

elf lip exfoliator
My lips tend to be dry in general, but are brutally dry in the fall and winter so having an exfoliator and moisturizer are key in maintaining a smooth pout. This is especially important for those of us who love a good matte lip as we know that matte lipsticks can be drying. This goodie from e.lf. offers an exfoliator with sugar to help to remove dead skin along with moisturizer to help to treat your dry lips all at the same time! For $3, you can’t go wrong with this one folks.

elf lip plumper

This lip plumper and primer is a fave of mine because I love the smell and feeling of the cinnamon based plumper when you apply it. It gives you a tingle that is both slightly painful and ticklish at the same time!

elf makeup wipes
These wipes are worth every penny ($3 worth!) in your bank account. Well, I mean, not literally, but you get the idea. They are comparable to MAC’s beloved wipes at a super affordable price. They clean the makeup off of your face without drying out your skin.
