Man. Atlanta won’t let me be great for my fall style, but I’m soooo forcing it. All in the name and passion for fashion, right? You all know my love for leather in the fall and my disdain for following the “rules” of not wearing white after labor day. So, naturally I’m all for wearing white leather jackets and shoes after labor day and well into the fall and winter season. White leather in particular has a true minimalist feel to it, especially when worn during the cooler months of fall and winter.
Wear it unapologetically
I decided to pair my leather jacket that I picked up from Nastygal.com during an incredible sale in the spring with an off the shoulder knit from blankwardrobe.com and pencil skirt from Ross. I finished off my look with a pouch purse from H&M and these cute booties from JustFab. This outfit was all about playing with shape and texture. The sweater is oversized so tucking it sloppily into the top of my skirt relaxed the fit of my skirt and made the leather jacket a bit more rugged and feminine at the same time. Adding the booties added a pop of color to contrast with the neon color of the pouch purse.
Quick style tip: go ahead and tuck the sweater in fully for a more tailored look and instead of draping the jacket over your shoulders, put it on and leave it open.
