Fall Classic: The Sweater Dress

There is something so classic and necessary about having a sweater dress in your wardrobe for the fall and winter. They come in a variety of shapes, textures and colors; finding one with your name on it that also has your style personality should not be difficult.

How to Wear it

I love keeping a sweater dress effortless to keep the practical yet fashionable essence of it intact. A sweater dress is meant to be comfortable, functional, and stylish. Over-styling it is a major faux pas – a sweater dress is not a clubbing dress or an evening dress. Depending on how cool it is, I like to throw my sweater dress on over tights or over-the-knee boots. I add minimal jewelry and a fab bag and I am good to go.

Below, I paired my sweater dress with over-the-knee boots, a snake skin handbag, my go to hat, and minimal jewelry (a myarmcharms watch, my Tiffany bracelet, and Kendra Scott necklace). I love the instant sex appeal that is created by the over-the-knee boots; the lace up action in the back and the peak-a-boo skin that is exposed with movement in this look adds a level of grown sophistication that I can certainly stand behind.

What I Wore: Dress: Victoria’s Secret (purchased several years ago) (similar), Boots: JustFab (similar), Handbag: JustFab (similar), Hat: H&M (similar)
