Pastels always have a place in spring and summer to me. They are the perfect way to brighten up your look and depending on the pastel, generally looks great on anyone. Another cool thing about rocking pastels is that they can act as a neutral or your statement piece. Wearing a pastel as your main garment, say your top or bottom, makes it your go to statement piece, while using it to accent your outfit, say with a purse or shoes, can make it more of a neutral.

When wearing it as your statement piece, keeping the rest of your outfit neutral is key, this can be done with light or dark colors. The idea here is to not have the pastel compete with other like colors in your outfit. If you decide to wear it as an accent, scarves, shoes, and bags are generally the way to go to add hints of pastels that can enhance your overall look.
The look below is my favorite way of wearing pastels, especially this Tiffany Blue-ish pastel. I love wearing these skinny jeans with my nude mid-rise button up and bucket bag. Adding the glasses are necessary with Georgia’s bright sun (you will likely see sunnies in most of my #OOTD posts going forward) and my go to black flip flops to anchor the look slightly.
What I’m wearing: Target top, Target skinny jeans, Forever21 sandals, Express bucket bag, and H&M sunglasses.
