I love supporting philanthropic initiatives, especially when they are giving back to marginalized communities and our youth. Recently, I was invited to attend Camp Fest, a fundraiser created to support an organization called Camp Twin Lakes.
Camp Twin Lakes is a local organization in Georgia that offers week long summer camps to children with disabilities, illnesses and other special needs. The summer camp activities include rock climbing, zip lining, canoeing, archery, farming, arts & crafts, acting, etc – all accessible to accommodate the special needs of their campers.
The event was amazing and truly gave insight to what this camp offers as activities and confidence building for these children. There were food trucks, a s’mores bar (which Alfred loved!), a live band, and activities such as ‘golfing’ and corn hole. Of course, because we were at a brewery, beer was certainly on deck and readily available.
Overall, this event was well done and really showed the commitment and grace that this organization has for these lucky campers. I look forward to being able to support this organization in the future and encourage you all to as well! Get more info here!
