Beauty Favorites for the Month of April

April was so good to me in the beauty product department.  I had a few key products that I used consistently and I imagine that I will go through the month of May and beyond reaching for them as well.  From nail polish to moisturizer, let’s get into the goodness of my April favorites below!

1. L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in Black Brown

This has got to be one of my favorite mascaras, even beating out my Manga mascara by Maybelline.  I love this mascara because it adds incredible length to my natural lashes without making them look “spidery” or hard.  I will say that I have noticed some irritation to my eyes with this mascara, but I am also allergic to the crazy pollen that is so popular this time of year in Georgia that it could very well be a combination, so we will keep this in the rotation – for now.  Beauty is pain!

2. Wet n Wild Fergie Gel Liner in Black

I love using gel liners to create a flawless and thick cat eye and this one is perfect especially at the price point of $3! It goes on smooth and dark and is incredibly easy to manipulate as you work your magic to create the perfect lined eye.

3. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

Pampering myself with a good at home manicure has been my go to Sunday routine for years now so I am always on the hunt for quality and affordable at home manicure tools that make it look like you got your nails done at the salon.  I am a huge fan of Sally Hansen in general and in particular, their nail gel polish innovations.  I started with the gel LED cure light kit, but transitioned from that when they started coming out with nail polish that gave you the benefits of gel nails without having to use the LED or UV lights.  The miracle gel line in particular has numerous colors to get you ready for spring and is so easy to use along with the top coat.  There is only a two step process: polish with the color and finish up with the top coat to seal the deal.  My nails lasts for about a week and could probably last longer if I didn’t do so much with my hands!

4. Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in A Stiff Pink

These balm stains are my ultimate fave.  They give off a vibrant and pigmented color and can be described as a two in one in that when you first apply the balm stain you get a glossy finish and when it wears a bit you are left with a stain.  This would be my favorite color from the entire collection…for obvious reasons.  Check out the full review here!

5.  Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream

A girl can’t have enough moisturizers, right? Or maybe, the average girl can, but for a beauty blogger, or perhaps a girl like me, I am always looking for the next best thing.  You guys know that I have a semi-obsession with skin care, which was brought on by the “Great Breakout of 2011” upon my move to Georgia.  The Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream is pretty cool because you are able to enjoy the consistency of having a cream moisturizer, but the benefits of a gel.  The texture of the product is very creamy and soothing and absorbs into your skin like a gel without leaving behind residue.  This product has helped with my problem dry areas tremendously.  I noticed a difference after only the first week of using it.  Now this beauty goodie is sure to be a beauty staple for me.
