So, the title pretty much preludes what this post will be about. I don’t want to make this a long post, but I do want to make sure to address the lack of consistency here that has, in part, led to my decision to take a hiatus from Pinkklipstick.
As many of you know, I started BLANK Wardrobe about a year and a half ago. It has been an incredible journey. I’ve learned so much so far and am so excited about the future. With that being said, building a brand (similar to what I created here with Pinkklipstick) takes time, patience, and continuing to educate yourself so that you can refine your strategy and pivot when necessary. BLANK takes a considerable amount of my time, plus I work full-time, am a wife, sister, daughter, pet-mom…LOL, your girl wears many hats.
With the amount of time that BLANK takes, I noticed that I was scrambling to put up and create content. With rushing and not really being inspired in this space for quite some time (#truthmoment), I felt like my content became watered down and not authentic. And authenticity is so important to me and this platform. Also, I’ve changed so much and I want my content to reflect that. I want you all to experience fashion, beauty, and lifestyle through the lens of where I am currently: as a fashion entrepreneur.
Now, Pinkklipstick is not going away forever. Honestly, I don’t know how long my hiatus will be for, but what I do know is that I want to take the necessary time that I need to focus on building BLANK so that when I come back, Pinkklipstick can reflect where I currently am with blogging. So, yes. When I get back to Pinkklipstick: IT WILL NOT BE THE SAME. The essence will be there. So, no worries there. 🙂
Y’all! Trust me. I have been struggling a little bit over the last several months on doing this. I had thoughts of sunsetting Pinkklipstick, permanently. I had thoughts of pushing forward. And then finally I realized that it didn’t have to be an all or nothing type of thing. Sometimes you have to be ok with stepping away for a little bit in order to move forward. And that’s what I’ve decided to do.
